Description

An incentive for retention may need to be added, but if we're moving Kerfoot I can only assume it's to "upgrade" at his position, I view Domi or Dvorak as upgrades and affordable.

I think the Demers signing is smart and cheap, he can play a top 4 role if needed. This is how depth is created on the backend.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think: Sandin, Lilly, Robertson and Gogolev are all waiver exempt they'd be top of my list for call up to cover injury, the remaining 5 or 6 league minimum players could essentially be lost to waivers (I'd bet maybe 50% of them)

Of note, Domi is out with shoulder surgery till December, so I wouldn’t be penciling him in right away.

This roster wouldn’t work, you’d need 50% retention, not even sure what he would cost in a trade.

Then once he was off LTIR you’d need to move Dermott or some other salary. Too many moving pieces.

I don’t hate the player but I’d rather keep Kerfoot.

😂 so when you take him off LTIR and you send Robertson, Brooks, Amadio, Gabriel, down to the Marlies so you can be cap compliant you’ll only be able to run a 21 man roster.
And what no Liljegren again?

Like I said too many moving pieces.

And you left with only 5,217 dollars, have fun added anyone at the deadline.
