Even 50% retained, taking Skinner is a complete non option. Also Brannstrom makes more sense vs Bernard-Docker. More upside for Buffalo, and Ottawa seems more likely to trade him.

Sabres don't devalue Eichel with a Skinner contract dump. And if they do, not retaining 50%. That makes Skinner a worthwhile gamble as Sabres basically keep all the bad $. Also, they have no cap issues so even less reason to do it.

Skinner at 4.5 is a steal you're not getting him valued as a cap dump when half the contract is eaten by the sabres. For a previous 40 goal scorer at 4.5 and an elite center you're about 4 significant pieces short
