The easier point to make here is that trading for Fiala likely puts Florida out of the running to re-sign their best player, Barkov.

That too. But Florida is loaded with top 6 wingers. They dont need another even if he’s better than the others. They need centers especially one in lundell who like you said potential be a top line center very soon.

I would think a trade moving fiala or kaprizov would make the most sense. Likely a sign and trade on kaprizov and then keeping fiala longer term makes more sense with the next 4 years ahead.

100%. I would absolutely not make this trade if I was Florida. 3 ELC years of Lundell are exceptionally valuable.

Said this in another post and I'll say it again:

Florida isn't moving Lundell under any circumstances, he's already been reported as untouchable. Not to mention that this deal makes virtually no sense for Florida because they need more quality centres than they do wingers (their top 6 wingers are filled up with Verhaeghe, Huberdeau, Reinhart, and 1 of Tippett, Hornqvist, or Duclair) - the better value is in their own wingers that they have to build around. Lundell will be a quality 3C for them on an ELC that can easily develop into a future top 6 centre. There's just no logic here for Florida to even consider this.

Wild fans seem think a lot lately that they're the only team in need of centres - they're not. And no team is trading a high level ceiling centre prospect for a winger unless they have someone to fill the centre spot first.

I don't see Fiala getting Lundell. It would have bene like MN trading Rossi or Boldy to BUF for Reinhart.

Love kaprizov. He’d be amazing with the center depth the kings have, but I don’t know about this trade. I don’t think the kings will trade faber. Switch with Durzi and I think it’s closer

I don’t blame them if they aren’t interested in trading Faber. I’m a huge Gopher hockey fan and Faber is a stud! You’ve got a very nice future piece for your blue line there!
