In reality, I do not want Eichel on the Rangers, He has 5 more years left on his deal for $10mil especially with young guys coming up through the system and eventually going to need new deals (depending upon whether they excel or not through the minors). BUT, there is an overwhelming community that wants him and they pull out Zscore charts and show his contributions vs Mika's. I am tired of seeing them and I am tired of hearing about this process/other Ranger fans about trades. I am just going to put one together this point and agree that Drury is most likely going to wait until Buffalo is out of options and make them sell for less.
Here is what I see a trade looking like with Buffalo UNLESS the Rangers can pull some type of miracle and force the Sabres to sell for less. But I doubt this will happen and Drury will cave once Buffalo lowers their asking price and then a bidding war starts between 2-3 other teams.
I think Buffalo needs GEO just because their goalies are on their last leg, a bit older, and have one year on their contract. Adding GEO to the trade may help their goalie issue and give GEO the time he wants between the pipes (which would be every game).
I also think Buffalo would like Kakko and Kravtsov, yet Drury I believe is hesitant because he wants to see what Krav can do. Kakko has not been named but tbh I think the big apple is too much for him and he may do better in a smaller market area.
I also think Buffalo is in need of a right-handed defenseman, so Schneider is probably the answer to this question for them. Schneider is a good defenseman, he has the potential to be top 2 pairings, but he needs to develop. Buffalo sucks with developing so at this point his career will probably be over.
Lastly, the dreaded 1st round draft pick. Rangers need to be smart with this and protect the pick if it is in the top 10, Next year is going to be a deeper draft so losing out on a 1st rounder next year could suck.
The next trade is a simple Seattle trade. Strome is 100% going to be on his way out and Seattle is knocking on the door. Mason Appleton is basically going to take over for Kakko with his 20-30 pts that he has averaged over the last few seasons, he will get a lot more playing time and probably sit in a 2nd line RW.
The only thing that I hate about this trade is that the Rangers will lose basically all of their RW depth for this upcoming season which they may have to go out and get someone for cheap which is why I ended up signing James Neal in this. James Neal is/can be a great player, it can be a low-cost type of deal and have him play with Eichel and Panarin on the 1st line. SEE WHAT HE CAN DO FOR $1.5mil for 2 years.
That is an awful 4th line and don't even pay attention to it, but after doing more research, Goodrow is really a center. He almost wins 50% of his faceoffs as well. I think he is at 48/49%.
Value for once isn't a complete joke although we'd want Chytil over Kravtsov since no one involved is a C.
I'd still decline however because I want nothing to do with the Rangers in regards to Eichel.
I mean, if you want Chytil, by all means, take him lol. I don't think he is all that good tbh as he's just a big center that will stay the same (20pts) his whole career. We will see what happens as I honestly don't know if I Eichel is great defensively, but Buffalo was so bad that you can't really tell tbh. I tried to be as realistic as possible, but I know the Rangers will end up spending that much because the price will go down from Buffalo in a hurry to sell, then a bidding war will come in and the price will go back to its original because of the teams in it.

I actually doubt at this point the Sabres will hurry at all. This will, at this point, likely drag into the season if we allow him to have his surgery or even more likely have him sent out west for a A+ tier prospect, a 1st and cap dump of some kind.
To be frank, I pray that Eichel isn't traded to the Rangers because it would be infuriating that Drury who stood us up in 07 would be poaching our 1C all these years later. Plus I'd want tampering charges investigated due to the relationship between Drury and Peter Fish, his former agent and Eichel's present one.
This team is worse, Jesus Christ.
No GM deals their 1, 2, and 3 RW’s in the same offseason.
The team is not making playoffs no matter what moves are made. Eichel is not the answer in my mind. This is not a terrible lineup but it definitely needs work. I am sure Chytil will be or is in the deal rather than Kravtsov or Kakko but one of these two im sure have to be in it.
You shouldn't give up Kravtsov and Kaako both, make it Chytil and Kaako, or Strome and Kaako.
They don't want Strome so makes no sense. They want young prospects to develop so you are right it would be either Kakko, Chytil, Schneider and a 1st or Kravstov, Chytil, Schneider, and a 1st.

If they don’t make another move between now and the start of the season, you could certainly argue that this team will be pushing for a playoff spot come March.

On top of the fact that I don't want Eichel, if that's what it costs to get him I definitely don't want him. You added a superstar player and yet somehow made the team worst.

IDK if this team would be worse. If you are allocating that to the James Neal signing, hes had 2 bad seasons in his whole career and has averaged minimum 20 goal seasons besides 2 or 3. Yes he is declining, but if you put him with Panarin and Eichel, I think that man flourishes 100%. Obviously I don't think Drury will trade away both Kravstov and Kakko, I think Chytil will be in that trade discussion, Kravtsov or Kakko, and either a D prospect or Georgiev. Also, the Ryan strome trade I did for Mason appleton, the kid is good and I think him with Mika and Laf he will produce even more (he had 15 goales i think and like 27 pts).
