Yeah, but 3 years is a long time for a hockey player that wasn’t considered young 3 years ago. I also think it’s plausible for a team to offer this, I just think it’s a very bad idea.

I was merely correcting your obviously sizable oversight. Three years ago was the start of that season, not the end of it.

I think my point still stands. But I could lower it to 2 years and solidify my point without any of the things you’re bringing up. That’s a very hefty price tag for a guy that may never play again even if he once scored 40.

2- What now? He played from March on with no issues. And no preseason. And no real practice time. Like where does one even get this "may never play again" notion?
