Unlike Debby Downer above, I think it can be competitive but there will be shuffling. And if something isn't working by 1/4 the way through the season, they'll shake it up and make a trade. I think Coyle will start on the 2nd line but Haula and probably Foligno will get looks

Funny, I don't recall saying that you DID guarantee anything. But since we're playing this game, how can you know for sure that any combination of this roster 'stinks' (and I'm assuming by 'stink' you mean won't play together well rather than emitting a combined foul smell)?

You can say that about anything, but there’s a reason we’re all here in the off season. It’s not hard to make an educated guess about things. If i was the starting goalie for the bruins next season, you couldn’t know for sure the team would stink, but it would be very much okay to say it.

Erik haula as the second line center of this team will stink. That’s obvious. Quit being obtuse

Blackhawks won in 2015 with a 35 year old Brad Richards. Kings won in 2012 with Mike Richards who scored at a 52 point pace during that season. I suppose Erik Haula will need to become Erik Richards but you never know. But he's already proven he can score at a similar pace.
That being said, this isn't a Stanley Cup caliber roster unless everyone plays well together and young players grow.

Also I'm guessing you meant to say that Haula ISN'T a 2C and what's a 'rocket science'? And how can I use one to know more about hockey line-ups??

I disagree. These line ups haven't played together yet. It would be delusional and willfully ignorant to claim they're going to win the cup because of this line up. Just like it would be to claim they will stink. Just because YOU say it's not positivity doesn't change the way I feel. Would you maybe just be a 'glass half empty' kind of guy? A self-proclaimed realist? Either way, good luck to whatever team YOU'RE going to cheer for. For me, it will still be the Bruins.

LOL...I only 'cap locked' certain key words to get my point across...DUDE... And as a 'rube' (is that better?), I get that not everyone is not happy with the moves they made. And there's no 'spin' from bad to good here, just a fan putting some lines together in different combinations.
