Yeah, but I think Barzal would be able to transition to the wing fairly smoothly. I do think Marner is better overall, but definitely not $4mil more. I'd be okay with perhaps giving up a prospect or pick in order to make the trade work. You also have to consider, you get an extra 2 years with Marner. I'm sure Barzal will be asking for similar money in 2 years. And Marner would be able to add some creative juicy to a fairly bland NY forward group.

But yes, I agree, NYI would not give up a center like Barzal - but, please let a poor, depressed Leaf fan dream! LOL
