The rest of the cap dumps gotta use that cap space up

Explications
Pick up a few bad contracts in order to improve the team for the future.
Those returns don't have to be exact and Copp doesn't have to be a player targeted. I chose him as it might be hard for the Jets to resign him, he's a Michigan native and the Jets are lacking second rounders for the next two years. Not sure exactly what Copp would sign for but I don't think that is too far off.
I feel like if Edmonton doesn't think that deal is quite fair that we could retain half on Greiss to make it a bit better for them. That would give them 2.3M in cap space after the deal is done and improve both positions.
I know this exceeds the 50 player roster limit but some of these players are playing in Europe and I'm pretty sure they don't count towards that number, I may be wrong?

I think that Copp might be had for (a retained) Namestnikov and a pick. A lot less messy.

TB is still in deep **** and Palat may become available and I really like their centre prospects.

Pitt is also in trouble and Matheson and their two goalies on the reserve list is one too many.

I agree, I didn't want to take every single one possible.
Thinking a second or third with names for copp?

Jets aren’t accepting that trade

Offer a 3rd, go up to a 2nd if necessary.
I wouldn't go higher, Copp is 27 years old and an improvement on what we have but not a long term solution.

Tampa still have more prospects they can't keep, Somppi for a 7th could be a steal.

If Copp is getting $4.75 million for 6 years, the Jets will be trading him. Not sure for what, but he is gone with that contract.
