Think I'd rather just see what Drouin has in the tank next season as he has had streaks where he looks very good, as for the trade its probably fair value, however Drouin has stated he'd like to play for MTL next year.

Drouin isn't untouchable, but I don't think Montreal is keen to move him this year, unless it's a necessary evil to address an immediate need.
At the trade deadline is more of a possibility and you'd probably be looking at a 3rd-party retention.
