I know why you say this, but I’m more concerned about him being able to take the reins at 3C. I don’t think he has the hands to be a top line guy.

Guy who just signed a 4 by 4 contract with FLA after a break out year. He was buried in the minors for the leafs and bolts but he always had good underlying numbers. It’s a hidden gem kind of argument here, but I don’t see it.

There’s a group of Wild fans that think Sturm will have a similar break out if they play him with top line guys. I don’t see it since he’s thrived in a checking role and has never really shown much offensive vision.

I’d agree. I’m going back and forth about his place on the team in the future since he’s UFA next year. If he can grab that 3C spot, the Wild will have to be pretty content up the middle for the time being.

Either Rossi hits or the Wild have much bigger issues than Hartman at C.
