The pens aren’t trading Marino unless it’s a massive overpay. We aren’t taking your cap dump either. Swap PK for Severson and add Wood + 2 1st round picks then we may trade a top 4 RHD to a division rival.

I think Detroit can get a better flip for Petruzelli's rights, but I wouldn't hate it either, considering we might lose him for nothing

Yes, Subban and MAF won’t get you Marino, but bud, you and I both know that that is an overpay. That package of MAF at 50%, severson, Wood, and two devils first round picks would be the front runner in the eichel sweepstakes. Literally. All worth way more than 4 firsts. Probably around five or six firsts. Let’s not be ridiculous bud😂

No it really isn’t. If fleury could fetch a 1st then he would have. His value depreciates more with the fact that the world knows he doesn’t really want to play for Chicago and that the pens aren’t desperate for him. So at 50% retained, he is maybe worth a 2nd tops. Severson probably a 1st. Wood is a 3rd liner and worth a 2nd at absolute best. Probably 3rd more like it. So it would be 3 firsts, 2 seconds tops for a division rival to trade you a top 4, potentially top pair RHD on an amazing contract that runs through his prime. The pens have no reason to trade Marino at all, let alone to a division rival. So therefore, it’s going to cost a TON if you the devils want him. It’s not worth it for them imo. Also RHD is the pens biggest weakness. So it’d cost that much more to convince them to trade from a position of weakness.

Boy I know its all a stretch but that woudl put the Devs in a nice spot. One last "sniper" and they are there

EDIT: Ross was a Devs fan, he might actually take that OS! I mean all kinds of Rangers playing for their dads season ticket team etc

Ya clearly have never watched miles Wood play, nor have ya watched more than two devils games this year. So clearly you aren’t educated enough to be saying the bs that ur saying. Not arguing with a guy that’s got all of his facts wrong

Devils fans don’t even watch devils games lol. But no, miles Wood is a 3rd liner. Just because he may play a top 6 role for the devils who don’t have that strong of a top 6, doesn’t make Wood a top 6. His production screams 3rd liner. His career high ATOI was this past year at 14:59. And he was still less than .5ppg player. So maybe you should either take off the Homer goggles or actually watch your team 😂

20 goal scorer that lays the body and can play on all four lines. Very least worth a late first. Ya got no argument.

Like I said, you’ve never watched miles Wood play or watched a devils game. Miles Wood has never scored 20 goals in his career, so he isn’t a 20 goal scorer. And like I said, just because he plays top 6 for a terrible team doesn’t mean he is actually a top 6 player. Making up stats doesn’t make your argument better. So again take off the Homer glasses.

Miles Wood played on Devils 4th line and was on 25-goal pace if they had played 82-games.
Plenty of teams have offered a late 1st for him.

Then those teams can have him. Until he scores 20 goals, he isn’t a 20 goal scorer though. And he is still a sub .5 ppg player.

Most teams would not pay for Wood’s ppg production. They would want his energy, physicality, and ability to generate shots without playmakers on his line.

Again great, they can pay the insane price then. I’m sure if teams offered a 1st, then the devils would have traded him by now. The fact of the matter is, Wood is a 3rd liner and making up stats doesn’t help your arguments.

I didn’t make up any stats.
And he is a 4th liner, not a 3rd.

I have nothing but honest about Wood https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/2441142

You may not have made up stats but the other one, who I assume reported me even though he insulted me did by claiming he is a 20 goal scorer and can play in a top 6 role.
