No it really isn’t. If fleury could fetch a 1st then he would have. His value depreciates more with the fact that the world knows he doesn’t really want to play for Chicago and that the pens aren’t desperate for him. So at 50% retained, he is maybe worth a 2nd tops. Severson probably a 1st. Wood is a 3rd liner and worth a 2nd at absolute best. Probably 3rd more like it. So it would be 3 firsts, 2 seconds tops for a division rival to trade you a top 4, potentially top pair RHD on an amazing contract that runs through his prime. The pens have no reason to trade Marino at all, let alone to a division rival. So therefore, it’s going to cost a TON if you the devils want him. It’s not worth it for them imo. Also RHD is the pens biggest weakness. So it’d cost that much more to convince them to trade from a position of weakness.

Like I said, you’ve never watched miles Wood play or watched a devils game. Miles Wood has never scored 20 goals in his career, so he isn’t a 20 goal scorer. And like I said, just because he plays top 6 for a terrible team doesn’t mean he is actually a top 6 player. Making up stats doesn’t make your argument better. So again take off the Homer glasses.

Most teams would not pay for Wood’s ppg production. They would want his energy, physicality, and ability to generate shots without playmakers on his line.
