Not as bad as I thought

Explications
The trade for Seth Jones is still way too much going to CBJ. It is what it is.

It's rumored that MAF is indeed going to report to CHI!!! I guess Hexy doesn't actually even want MAF. So...he can retire or play with Toews/Kane/Jones and make $6M. Not a bad gig when you put it like that.

It was a lot of trade capital to give up, but ask yourself a couple questions.
Did the Hawks goalie tandem get better? - Yes MAF > Subban
Did the Hawks defense get better? - Yes Jones is their best Dman. McCabe when healthy is a good defensive Dman which is very underrated in the NHL. Puck movers are easier to find.
Did the Hawks center depth get better? - Yes Toews is back and Borgstrom is a big body with two hustle wingers...I think that's a very underrated line.
Did the Hawks get better on wing? - Yes Dach is back. I think he should play wing.
Did the Hawks get better on on the PK - No Losing Kampf hurt. Not gonna lie. TOR will like him.
Did the Hawks get better on the PP - Push...IDK.

This team could sneak into a playoff spot honestly

Jets overpaid for Dillon. You might get two seconds for Strome from a team desperately in need of 2C...but I don't think Kraken fits the bill.

Frankly, I don't think there's any team in the league who would need a player to like him aside from rebuilders, for whom it makes no sense to waste picks right now.

EDM is probably your best bet but you'd likely need to take a bad contract in.

I'd consider taking Turris, but then there would have to be conditions to getting a 1st if EDM goes X far in the playoffs. Strome has value as a scoring center and would be really good with either Drai/McDavid...and an RFA. He's actually done it vs some prospects that never have.

Losing Kampf hurt for sure. However Borgstrom and Josiah Slavin (jaccob slavins bro) will need some nhl time. Like every season there are people that breakout like Hagel. I think this next season we see Slavin, Regula, or Gaudette to be surprisingly impactful
