Description
Given the statement from Eichel's camp there's no way he isn't moved before camp. This offer is pretty damn good for a rebuilding team.

The Quenneville signing is a PTO. He'll never be a top 6 guy but plays a style that works in a bottom 6. Worth a look, and if he signs a two way deal I'd be cool with it - even if we lost him on waivers.

I'd also try to sign Buddy Robinson on a two-way deal if no other team makes an offer. He'd be a great addition for the kids in Belleville. Especially if we're trying Sokolov in Ottawa. That being said I'm not against picking up Bozak to play that spot on a one year deal and moving him at the deadline.

Tierney gets shipped ASAP - a 4th from anyone - which likely happens early in the season when a team begins to panic.

Ah, so he does. This has been sitting in my draft folder since the 29th and he was still a UFA at the time. Thanks!

Take JJ out of the mix. He is part of the Buffalo rebuild, they're not moving their young prospect who they traded up for to draft

I thought it might be nice to bring him in for Stützle, but I'm fine leaving him out of the deal if that's what gets it done.

The Sabres are really high on him. He might be the best player they drafted last draft

So you want to have a top 10 protected pick but of the pick moves back to 2023 it becomes a 2nd instead? That's not how it works man. Ottawa fans should know that pick becomes a completely unprotected one the year after

Yeah thought the same thing, more fair if you leave out JJP out of the mix

Pretty good offer IMO and "affordable" for Ottawa because it's positions where we have the most strength

1) White, Colin : former 1st round pick, good 3rd line player still maturing, a bit overpaid but still a good piece for Buffalo (similar to Tierney in the EK deal). I'd prefer to keep him though as he is CHabot's best buddy

2) Brown, Logan : another former 1st round pick, doesn't have that value anymore because time has passed but people may not realize how much time he lost because of Covid + injuries, it's almost like he was still 21 y/o. Pretty good bet to take for Buffalo in their situation

3) Järventie, Roby : early 2nd round pick last year. His stock raised a bit with his performance in Liiga and AHL, even though he didn't do much at the WJC, so he's probably worth at least a late 1st rounder right now.

Brännström, Erik : with Chabot and Sanderson 25 mins each on LD (plus Kleven, etc), it will be hard for Brannstrom to get the TOI he needs

2022 2nd round pick (TBL) : a 2nd is a 2nd, always a good piece

2022 1st round pick (OTT) : could still be a pretty good pick. Even with Eichel, there's still a lot of inexperience on the team.

Brannstrom, 1st, Jarventie, Brown + White + 2nd, worth approx these 4 first rounders they are asking

Problem is you'd need Buffalo to have faith in all these guys. They'd probably really like Brannstrom and Jarventie but probably not both White and Logan Brown.
