I don’t have a dog in the fight, but to me that looks like a pretty solid package. Curious to hear what you’d add on

We'll to start the Sabres kinda have a deep stable at Defense (dahlin, power, jokiharju, Johnson, Samuelson). So Debeusk doesn't do a whole lot for the Sabres.

We also know that the return the Sabres want is the equivalent to four 1st round picks in futures (picks/prospects). And I don't think they would take a discount from their division rival.

The two 1st are a step in the right direction, but the player return would most likely be highly rated forward prospects.

Will the Sabres get what they want? No clue. But the GM said yesterday he doesn't care how long it takes, they aren't trading him for a discount.

Debrusk is a winger dude.

This is at least four first rounds of value.

LOL that's embarrassing in my head I was thinking of Grzelcyk. Well now that I seem like a idiot, Debrusk isn't really what the Sabres want. They are looking for guys around 18-21. So they would probably swing him in another deal.

That’s completely fair. 23-25 year olds really shouldn’t be buffalos target

Jack pulling this on the Sabres kinda set the whole franchise back. Their GM Adam's said that Dahlin, Cozens, Power, and Mitts are the new face of the franchise. I don't see the Sabres making a trade that doesn't include a 20 yr top center prospect like Krebs, Zegras, turcotte, Byfield and so on.

From everything I’ve seen studnicka is tracking to be a pretty dámn good center, and if Beecher can figure it out there’s another decent prospect. I think this offer would be decently considered

They are definitely good prospects, but this offer doesn't have that elite upside the Sabres are looking for.

The Sabres main concern should be a high end prospect in return. The Bruins don’t have that, so they’re out

Perhaps an elite option is what the Sabres are looking for, however there is no progress on any trades as the teams aren't willing to pay the asking price the Sabres want. Right now the reality is UFA and draft are basically done and Eichel is still a Sabre (who doesn't want to be and his agent has already started scorching the Sabres brass about the lack of progress). Not to mention Eichel still needs to get through physicals with his neck injury for any team that takes him. Eichel is a legit great player, however it appears teams aren't interested in moving the assets the Sabres want because of the cap hit, the neck injury and right now they view that evaluation as too high a price to pay.

Its going to be fun to watch how this all plays out.

He will end up playing this season for the Sabres, after he gets one of the surgeries. Once teams see he can play then a trade should happen.

His value seems to be as low as it could get, so it makes no sense to trade him now. Might as well get him back on the ice and show he’s healthy
