I know Sabres fans don't like it, but when Strome is a UFA next season, the Sabres have the prospects but more importantly the cap space that Eichel used up. If Sabres management doesn't waste that new found cap space on guys like 9m Skinner, or 6m Okposo, Sabres could do well on this proposed deal. I really don't see the Sabres getting much more from any team.

Same here. Cap is precious. Even if the Rangers "Win" the trade, a compromised Eichel could be like Giancarlo Stanton on the Yankees. An immovable Black Hole in the middle of the lineup.

From what I have seen, Strome IS NOT in the offer. Its Kravstov, Jones, Georgiev and a 1st round pick. Ottawa is said to want Strome if the Rangers make a trade for busted neck Jack. Hope Buffalo says no because its still an overpay for Eichel.

Rangers aren’t making the playoffs next season. They are banking on Kravtsov, Laf and Kakko to score and they have all showed they can’t do that yet. Plus they traded away their 2nd best forward for a bad winger. And what if Zibanejad shooting percentage comes back down to earth?

If Zibenejad wasn't recovering from COVID to start the year, and the Russians hadn't thrown Panarin under the bus, they would have made the Playoffs last year.
