They will have more than 7 million to sign those players after matching the offer sheet and the only one of them that have arbitration rights is Dickinson. It will be a bit tight but it'll be done.

Have a look at their roster and count the players there are 4 of the already signed that will be sent to the AHL and they have both trades that can be done and buyouts they can use.

Hughes just watched his peers (Makar & Heiskanen) get 8.5-9M AAV. I think he'll want to cash in on that after a 0.73 PPG season, even if just a little. A bridge is going to cost north of 5M IMO.

So, a $10.276M OS extended to EP will make things really damned difficult for Benning.
