There is no room for the other d men signings and they or Clifton/Zboril are not clearing waivers so it’s a waste.

He is a inch smaller than cliffy.. and a better dman zbroil and cliffy won’t need to go through waivers Moore and Wagner sway can to make the money work when Rask comes back. Maybe you only sign one of the Seth Dmen but we need atleast one depth RHD behind cliffy

Difference is Clifton hits everyone and plays defense. Stecher does not. Zboril is better defensively than Stecher and has upside, Stecher is a finished product. Clifton is not waiver exempt, he’d have to be placed on waivers to be sent down. You have 11 d men with NHL contracts and none are waiver exempt.

The biggest problem with Boston was exposed in the playoffs, small, soft D. Adding Stecher just makes the problem even worse.
