Overpay. Glad the Leafs didn't sign him at this cap hit.

did not see BOS coming out of this.
He is a BOS style player that is for sure.

I will say this about that contract.
That's a lot of money to pay someone on the downside.
He's 34 this year, but hell BOS loves running with these old players.

Not the Blue Jackets, not the Wild, not even the Leafs. Boston comes out of the shadows to nab him, and it's a good pickup.

Like the fit but it’s an overpay at 2 years we should have sign him between 3 to 3.25 he’s a good 3rd line on a contender team

replace the D with an N and you got the right word.

He's really slowed down the last 2 years.
He needs a much smaller role.
The realization that Nick was never a guy with much skill and a lot of heart has to come into play here.
He's not one of these guys who ages well. That's a reality that I think TOR found out the hard way.
Had hoped he come back to CBJ and teach the younger guys. But I guess he's done with that. Truth is, he never won anything so there isn't a whole hell of a lot there to teach I guess.

Would've loved him to stay in Toronto but not for nearly 4 million.

So in a sense a non-official trade was made between Toronto and Boston

Kase + Ritchie come to Toronto and Foligno goes to Boston

good trade for both sides

i mean he is a top 9f but isn't worth 3.8m maybe like 2m is good hopefully he preforms his full contract but it'll be good leadership w/ marchy and bergy after losing kerjci which i'm still crying about tho tbh
