Arizona can ask for a first but nobody is going to pay that for a goaltender on an expiring contract, a sign and trade would work though. Sakic lost Grubauer to the Krakken, so perhaps the Avalanche would make that deal. Edmonton would probably be better off pivoting to Linus Ullmark and if he's interested they could sign him and push one of their RFAs to arbitration so that they can buy out Koskinen when the second opportunity opens. If necessary, Turris can be placed on waivers and assigned to Bakersfield, which would bury most of his cap hit.

I can't see the Jets trading for Russell now, as the Jets are good on defense (didn't think I be typing that last week) and they will probably use their remaining cap space to re-sign their RFAs. If there is anything left after that, then perhaps they would look at it and also sign some league minimum guys.
