You are criminally underpaying Copp and pionk. Chevy is not done unless he gets one of them on a steal, that much we can tell.

I wonder if there is one more trade left, with a copp that wants to get paid, a niku for a change of scenery and possibly stanley to get a better shot at moving up the depth chart over getting passed. Was trying to figure out a fleury, Appleton, tanev to wpg on a budget

With $7.7 million in cap space and then $5.3 million in LTIR at the beginning of the season, they will probably have to make another move. If they move out Niku for a late pick, then that is a bit more in savings ($0.725 million). They could then sign Pionk, Copp, Stanley, Kovacevic (minors) and a backup goalie, but they would have to sequence them carefully to maximize the use of LTIR.

Nice. With $8.425 million (after moving Niku), they could sign Pionk (with term), Stanley and Kovacevic (both bridges) in the offseason and then sign Copp and a backup when LTIR kicks in at the beginning of the season.... or something like that.

I wonder if copp/niku turns into a tanev/Appleton, spread the money a little, probably a pick to even it out.

I'm interested to see what happens with Copp as he can walk to UFA status with a one year deal or arbitration award.
