When not overpaying for a UFA, trading for a player is just as tough.

It's probably true. But we can dream lol. Those rumors actually seemed to have something behind them considering that Friedman was talking about it a bit.

Either way, our D core now is cool, but Hamilton absolutely would have outweighed the worth of Schmidt and Dillon combined. Slot him in on a top 2 pair and call up Heinola/Samberg and our D would be good to go.
