The Laine trade looks pretty decent. Columbus might actually go for that. I seriously doubt Landy is signing for under 7 even though I actually agree with the 6.75 number. I doubt anything like this transpires, but it looks cool!

We’d want more younger assets for laine. A stud prospect and a first. (Overpay atm). We got him a playmaker now and he really likes it so other than that I don’t see us moving him.

And yeah that would be the hang-up on a Laine trade - I think CBJ is in full rebuild, so they'd be shooting for young players picks and prospects. Not sure if Avs would give that up for him.

Completely understandable but laine seems to really like Columbus. Less scrutiny and has a chance to be the centerpiece the team builds around. Laine and Kent Johnson could be magic.

I agree. I also hope the avs win before Nate gets an extension. so the league takes note that to win, the best players need to be on cheaper deals. A rantsnen and laine second line on Colorado would be nuts. It just would cost you newhook + for him. Or that’s what I ask and don’t budge on that price this year.
