If he was anything close to what you're suggesting. Seattle would have taken him and not lost anything...in fact would have turned around and traded him like you're suggesting AND like they did Pitlick, but no one will give assets for a cap dump.

I personally would NOT do that trade. Columbus isn't desperate, but neither is CHI. What you're suggesting is desperation IMO. There's no reason for CHI to do it. A.) CHI can wait 1 single year if they're dead set on Seth Jones. B.) They have a TON of options. Columbus is doing the absolute best they can, to which 100% I agree and they should. Is Jones better than Hamilton? I personally say yes, but MANY Hawks fans think no. So why give up more than Strome and Z at all? Send Jones to a different team @ the TDL if you really want the 2022 1st round pick around draft slots 25-30 and a B+ prospect. Otherwise take what you can get.
