Smith won't be coming back to Detroit. Devellano called out Mantha for being lazy and he did this to try and motivate him. Then Smith fired back at Devellano through the media when he should've registered his concern 1 on 1 with Devellano first. Detroit doesn't need a distraction like Smith.

Yes Greiss was pretty bad last season but he had a 2.71 GAA and a SV% of .912. Georgiev's GAA was 2.71 and his SV% ,905 and he had a much better team in front of him. There is absolutely no way Georgiev is worth a 2nd rd pick. Maybe during the last off season but his play this season wasn't better than Greiss's play.

So why give up a pick for Greiss's statistical soulmate.
