Well for one, looking at WAR on all those guys, Meier is better than all of them in every category except shooting where those guys get all of their positive WAR from. So Some guys who have been quite awful in the past scored a bunch of points and had a massive shooting percentage, thats the definition of unstable. Those guys will likely never score that well again, whereas Meier can really only go up from here.

I would honestly do this even without Kuokkonen. I like Mercer a lot.

Problem is on this website, Devils fans are always gonna underrate Meier by quite a bit and Sharks fans are always gonna overvalue him a little too. But imo, there’s 0 reason to move Timo unless we’re talking about a return like this.
