Description
If all Waddell got for Nedeljkovic was a 3rd rounder and the rights to a UFA, Foegele isnt getting that much back then. Engvall can be a replacement in the bottom 6, either for Geekie or Foegele. McGinn feels like a a good 3rd line player for the Leafs at 3x2 contract.

Detroit does not now, nor ever, at any cost, want Dermott, Engvall or Kerfoot. It's one of these 3 in every ACGM and we have zero interest in any of them.

Canes pass. No use for the players coming back. Can’t really defend the Ned move although I somewhat get their line of thinking and I guess they had minimal leverage. Could always trade post arbitration too which makes even less sense lookinh back now. Idk I just don’t think canes trade Foegele for a package like that. Literally useless to us

I am just going along with the theme of the Hurricanes offseason, which includes trading Foegele for a minimal package. He isnt getting a massive haul back imo. This may not be enough but its not nothing
