I see the problem with Holland so far is that the amount of money he gives is okay, for the most part, but the amount of years is horrible. Hyman (8 years), Nuge (8 years).

Koskinen is an okay backup, but Mike Smith being 40 is hard to swallow to be your starter. I’m not confident that he will be good enough still to be our starter. I would just like a cushion with a good goalie like Linus Ullmark just to be safe. Even 40M if it’s 7-8 years is horrible! Haha.

Rakell scored just 9 goals this year. How is that a "great add"? His ice-time and goal scoring have been dropping for 3 years now.

Look at his line mates haha. Plus Manson is the best available Larsson replacement meant. To give up a prospect and 1st is worth it. Might even get extensions for these guys

They'll probably get Hamonic on a 1-year deal to replace Larsson and then target Colton Parayko next summer. I'd do that and keep my 3rd best LHD and my 1st round pick. Manson is way overrated and he's a UFA next summer.

Harmonic is injury prone so if he only plays 2/3 of a season that no good. Plus I don't think Oiler can Afford Parayko next year.

If Hamonic plays the 1st half of the season, Samorukov can play the 2nd half. He was the best defender in the KHL last year, mostly playing on the right side.

They can afford Parayko next year as it stands today. We'll see how many poor bets Holland makes...
