He's got trade value or else teams wouldn't be interested in him...the mere fact you want to trade for him to be a top line player shows that. Now he won't command as much as he would have two seasons ago, but if the Blues are retaining than it will take more than a late 2nd and a wasted prospect to do it.

No one traded for him in the expansion draft and the Kraken passed on him when they could have gotten him FOR FREE. With Tarasenko already being frustrated with not being traded yet and St. Louis clearly wanting to get rid of his contract, they’d take anything at this point

Seattle didn't take any big contracts so that point is moot. There were 4 teams calling on him, not the other way around. Clearly there is enough of a market surrounding him. Yes he wants to be traded but his health records indicate he's the strongest he's been since the Cup run.
