EJ will not be LTIR the entire season so you can't just have that money to play with. Parise can't play 2LW - he's a 4th liner at this point in his career. Wouldn't count on Kaut making the club - Avs seem to not like him much. Newhook needs to play a lot of minutes; a 4th line role would hinder his development. Can't see Seattle taking JTC without a significant sweetener.

if parise can't keep up with a new team then he can go to 4lw. matlsev goes to 4c and newhook gets a shot at the 2nd line. i'd disagree that starting him at 4c is somehow going to hurt his development.

kaut should make the club. he's good enough to play in the nhl and the avs need low cap hit players.

seattle still needs centers at this point and more scoring. if they land a big trade or ufa then maybe you're right but if not compher would be a good pickup for them.

I think Sakic will bring in some proven vet to the 4th line, or a guy who wins faceoffs to anchor that 4th line. Maybe Parise fits that bill and him and Newhook switch with Bowers or someone else to play C

i like they idea but they player you are describing is bellemare and they chose to let him walk. maybe it was just a money thing tho.

Yeah someone like Bellemare... His play was declining and I think they need a new old vet (lol) that may be able to produce a bit.. Say a Bozak, Bonino, Glendening or Helm.
