Too many discounts here.. the ones that jump up are Stastny and Danault.

Stastny would get 5 to 6 from many teams; Danault said no to 5Mx6yrs from Habs. He may still sign that with a team in a different tax bracket market, but he wants 5.5x6yrs.

Hey.. with you on that one. Personally... He's worth 3 to 4 MAX... but yeah.. at the start of the year, the contract was based off his points last year, he refused it. At the end of regular season his agent must've been hitting himself... Maybe they would get a 3.5 offer if they were lucky.. Then playoff happened and his value went back way up at their eyes..

If Danault gets it somwehere I'll be happy for him. But to always overpay to keep 3rd line centers is becoming a hassle the Habs need to stear clear of. Gally is going to get paid 6.5 for 6 years to be on a 3rd line... That's crazy.
