8 years vs 7 years isn't worth a 2nd

Difficult at best and similar to TOR.

A big top 6 and really lacking quality in the bottom 6 forwards, sketchy patches on defense and same goaltending (is it good/reliable).

Not sure what needs to happen, but quality bottom 6 forwards, a more reliable 3rd pairing on defense and questions in goal are still issues.

I agree for most part. Like I said in title it’s not what I want to see just trying to be semi realistic based off what Holland has shown thus far. It’s the offseason of a lot of missed opportunities not sure how else can describe it.

I agree completely but with Holland’s track record of moving picks since arriving wouldn’t surprise me and since Hyman was in town meeting with the team that only happens if a contract is on the table and his rights still belong to leafs almost seems inevitable. I’m not supporting the idea just bracing myself for the inevitability.

rumour is Hyman to TO for Klefbom LTIR and/or a 6th.

They might do a sign and trade but for like a 5th or 6th.

Why bother moving klef? Doesn’t help either team if on ltir kinda dumb from oilers perspective because of that slight chance he does attempt a return at some point.

Helps Leafs get more cap room if they spend to the cap (they wont have a problem there) and then use Klef on LTIR.

It helps the Oilers reduce the AAV of Hyman from 5.5 to 5.0 against the cap.

Not looking like Klef is going to play again. Also if he does he won't be the same. Serious injury.
