Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

So many thoughts on Adam Larsson back fill.

As a fan, happy for him to get out of the "Taylor Hall 1 for 1" shadow and get a fresh start. When the trade happened, optimists thought we were getting a poor man's Hedman, which clearly he was not anything close to.

To me:

Option 1: Swing for the fence with Doug Hamilton. That will likely fail.

Option 2: Resign Barrie to pair with Nurse (which was a strong duo), pair Keith with Ethan Bear to see what Bear's development looks like (he deserves a middle 2 spot), and then sign a veteran with some "jam" to plan with Bouchard (options I like are Mike Reilly, Alex Elder, and Brendan Smith ... maybe Ryan Murray as a dark horse).

Option 3: replace Larsson with a player like David Savard, Brandan Montour, Cody Ceci. Zdeno Chara is a dark horse.

I will say that one positive about Larsson is that Jujhar hopefully stays now if Kassian is moved. Having Jujhar as a 12th/ 13th forward for some toughness (tho concussions will be a concern) is a good thing.

This scenario explores option 2 with the rumored Barrie re-sign, Kassian deal, and Mikko for Kessel trade.

UFA side:
- Hall looks like he will resign in Boston
- Hamilton (again) I am assuming is off the table
- I've gone with two LW and moved RNH to the 3C role.
- I've added Ullmark on a deal similar to Driedger
- I've added veteran depth experience as well on the cheap including Zajac and Glendening who are strong on faceoffs and can move up to a 3C role, and Edler as a mentor for Bouchard.

This is not the team I would build - this is more what I think we might look like this year.
