I agree that kassian is higher value rn, but with the rangers being the ones signing goodrow, i dont think they add another winger like that into the bottom 6 mix as its still fairly overloaded

If Rangers are about to sign Goodrow to 3.5AAV for 6 years, then they shouldn't take Kassian as well. That is over 7mil in the third line alone. It is way too expensive.

Agreed, however, I do think there may be an appetite to rebuild some value after being benched two post-seasons in a row by playing with 97 or 29. Like the Barrie contract.

Like a 6 year deal for a bottom 6 player. That has never been a good decision.

Apparently the Kreider/Trouba deals aren't lessons enough. Honestly, the success of this rebuild is entirely due to luck.
