Die hard Oilers fan for over 30 years here, couple things.
1)Barrie won't sign for under 5, probly not even under 5.5. Not with the market for D men this off season.
2)Larsson won't sign for less than 4. I see him at 4.25 or 4.5
3)were doing Arizona a bigger favor taking Kessel and his huge contract off their books than they're doing for us taking Koskinen off ours so it would be a 1 for 1 trade or they'd be giving up picks. Not us.
4)Yamamoto won't sign for under 2. I predict 2.25 or 2.5 over 3 years.
5)Bear for Appleton? No. There's UFA centers we can sign to fill that spot and be able to keep Bear on our roster as Bouchard isn't quite at full time yet.
6)Mike Smith is coming back as our backup so the Ranger trade doesn't happen either. Deangelo is also locker room cancer, Taylor Hall ten times over.

Kessel had 20 goals and 43 points in a shortened season last year. His bonus has already been paid as well, so there is no favor you are doing us really as his remaining salary is less than a million. We could always retain and I would more than be happy to do so for that package, but then have the 4th removed. Otherwise I still think it is a fair deal as it is now.

Buffalo laughs in your face at that trade offer. Nobody wants DeAngelo for free, why give up an asset for him?
