I like too see some changes as well but this is simply a total different team which has nothing do with the Leafs. Would be fun to watch except for Deagelo. He kill of everything with his behavior. The Leafs have such a good dealing and mentality, don't want him in Toronto.

Jason Zucker turns 30 at mid-season, is more expensive than his cap hit, is signed for only 2 years (incl this one), and has been declining over the past couple of seasons. Kempe is 25, has been improving every season, and is under team control for at least 3 years. I don't think moving up half a round in the draft is adequate incentive for us to compensate for those differences and make this deal.
