Some notes about this offseason (2021-2022):

It seems as though Chuck is willing to make this team better and has his hands in a lot of pots. The Tarasenko thing is interesting. It's the pure sniper the flyers have never had. the injury issues concern me but the way I look at it is the term is two years shorter then Voracek's and tarasenko at 100% is better then Voracek at 100%. If it only costs a 2nd and Robert Hagg to pull this off I am all for it.

As for Larsson, I think he could be a nice piece for this defense. I don't really know how much he is asking for but other defenceman like Savard, Martinez are also free agents so I could be fine with any of those guys playing with Sanheim.

Lastly, the 13th pick, Based on what Chuck has said in every interview this week that he is willing to trade it for a long-term piece. I don't really know what that might be. Reinhart? a different 2nd pair Dman? could even be a better backup goalie like Kuemper or someone like that who would be more of a 1B than a backup. Either way I think this pick gets moved


Some notes on the 2022-2023 offseason (The offseason after this one):

There will be people who will say "Well guess we aren't signing Couturier" or something along those lines. So I did some thinking about that

1) I did some math for the next season where the flyers have a lot of big names contracts coming up. so with Giroux, Coots, Allison, Farabee, Frost, and Braun all coming off the books and assuming the cap stays the same the flyers would have just over 17 million available to sign these players.

2) I think Coots gets 8x8 and Giroux takes a pay cut and gets something like 3yrs x 6 million. this leaves the flyers with just over 3 million....

3) I think they end up moving JVR next offseason as he would only have 1 year left at 7 million and thus would have more value to teams looking to add a top 6 scoring winger. so that would now give them just over 10 million for the next offseason.

4) It's hard to judge what Farabee, Frost, and Allison would get as it depends on this upcoming season. I assume they take bridge deals (2-4 yrs) as by the time those are done contracts like Hayes would be off the books
