1- Why are the Blues giving Seattle a 1st and 3rd to take Tarasenko exactly?
2- If the Isles would pay so much for Tarasenko, why didn't they do that already?

I agree the 1+3 is a little much. Let's just say it's a 1. I was going off the rumors that Seattle was asking a 1 and a 3 to take on a big contract.

I look at the NYI trade as a 1 and a 5 for Tarasenko plus a 3rd to take Komarov. Similarly, it was suggested that the WAS/DET trade was Vrana + 1st for Mantha, and a 2nd to take on the Panik deal.

That's ridiculous, dude. Rumors do not = fact. So-called rumors had it a done deal theyt'd take him and flip him straight to Philly. And Tarasenko is not just "a big contract" anyway.
