you trade a career 0.59% PPG that you place on your top line for a career 0.40% PPG. You will need to add a pick to this trade. a 2nd or 3rd round.

assuming Landeskog walks, get MTL to retain so it is salary neutral and the Avs consider it . No need to sign someone like Vessey with LOC and Ranta there.

For a guy on LTIR that you don’t even know if he plays again. Drouin right now literally has zero trade value.

No not even. One is a guy you don’t know if or when he is playing again. Compher is a versatile bottom 6 forward that is actually you know playing.

I disagree. Once he is out of MTL, he will be good to go. Quebec is a different animal. In 2001, I was sitting in the Habs dressing room waiting to go eat with one of the players and a father told his 10 year old kid to pretend he had cancer so he could get an empty roll of tape from one of the players lockers. That is the day I understood, people are fanatical and will pretend to have a serious illness to get an empty roll of tape. I went out with four players to go horseback riding and we went for wings afterwards. A woman thought I was on the team and flat out said, she would sleep with me. I told her the truth and told her I was not on the team and she left in ten seconds. LOL so it will be good for Jo to get out of Quebec.

although men enjoy stories for their egos, I honestly didn't. And to add to this true story. One of the four players that I had wings with was coaching in the AHL and in 2018 we had lunch together and we talked about that story. I know many people lie online, but I am speaking truth and have no reason to lie. It serves no purpose.

I'm sitting on the couch with 2 of my 3 sons (ages 22 & 20) and they have a $100 wager between themselves. They are each picking a Kraken team and whoever is closest to actual team on Wednesday gets the $100. We've been on capfriendly for five hours now!

In all honesty, what do you think JD is worth in the market right now & what would you be willing to take at a min, given the circumstances (two separate questions). Its a tough spot for the Habs ... dont want to sell low, but they may be carrying an asset that will have zero value soon. Sell now for what you can get or roll dice on return?

This is a sensitive one because the league/society is becoming more understanding of mental health issues. I strongly believe his “issues” were being an offensive French Canadian from Quebec. So the pressure is ridiculous and constant. I did say three years ago Jo is not built for the Quebec market. He’s very sensitive and tender. To play in Montreal you need to be able to block out the noise. I think he will do better outside of Canada.

To answer your question, he’s return is a prospect and 2nd or 3rd round pick. Many will scoff at that but he’s entering his prime and has 5 to 8 years of hockey left.

Needs for Habs: depending on kraken choice.

RD, scoring LW, possibly goalie

I completely understand that, but there is no guaranteeing anything about a player that left mid-season for personal reasons and was out on LTIR. There could be anything wrong with him, and to speculate “he will be good to go” once he is out of MTL is entirely not true. Even if it were, it doesn’t change the fact he has literally no trade value until his situation is completely resolved, and even then to until he actually does something on the ice.

His situation is resolved. He will play next year. Montreal can keep him but if I’m Jo, I’m quietly asking to be moved.

Understood & if they don't get that return (or at least something close), hold & hope he returns?

Personally, I hope he finds his way. As fans, we all lose without him in the league, regardless of who you support.

Can't imagine the pressure this guy has faced from the first time he laced them up. It must feel relentless. Wish the guy only the best with whatever path he takes.

I hope so but until he’s producing back on the ice he doesn’t even have enough value to be protected. If MTL wants to move him in the off season assuming he isn’t picked in the XD it will be at a steep discount.
