no help from Seattle

Équipe: 2021-22 Maple Leafs de Toronto
Date de création initiale: 18 juill. 2021
Publié: 18 juill. 2021
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Just when Dubas thinks he can be smart and trick Seattle into selecting an overpaid guy in Kerfoot or McCann or Dermott, R. Francis screws Dubas and gets the cheap 3rd line C option with Brooks. Now Dubas only has 3 million to play with on the open market and not many attractive trade options. Flipping Dubas the bird.

I don't think anyone in Toronto would have an issue with this

Kerfoot is a good versatile forward that have lots of trader value and Dubas would prefer to keep him

Yup. I love Brooks but this team looks great. We have 5m to sign a backup and use the change at the deadline.

Dubas wanted Holl more than protecting Kerfoot and McCann, the guy is mentally ill.

We all have issues with Dubas and this team, 5 years and no 1st Rd victory.

Dubas gives away a 1st, Korschov (ex 2nd Rd), 3rd, two 4ths, 5th and a 6th Rd picks for 5 rental players who failed.

Meanwhile Lou's NYI, who on paper are far worse than the Leafs, have 6 playoff Rd victories in 3 years since giving Dubas the keys to the Leafs.

That would be amazing if they took Brooks who will likely have to pass through waivers next season anyways.

This would be incredible. A middle six winger/c is not overpaid at 2.9-3.5.

I think Dubas would be ecstatic!

This team has forever been trying to find a competent top 4 Rd. We have one in his prime for 2 mil per year during a cap crunch. I see wanting to keep him. He'd be hard to replace at that cost...

Not close to competent, every game I watch Holl makes 2-3 bone head mistakes, with 1 mistake ending up in the net. Holl without Muzzin is an AHL'er, place any AHL'er beside Muzzin and you'll get the same result.

If it takes trading Marner for nothing to get the Leafs past the 1st Rd (many boneheads here want to see Marner gone) than Leaf land would be happy. Doesn't make it right.

You can't accept that Lou has 6 playoff victories over Dubas' 0.

LOL @ you

Speaking of asset management Dubas trades away a whole summer worth of picks (1st, 3rd, 4th, 4th, 5th, 6th) for 4 rental players who didn't help.

Also the Isles D-corps depth has easily absorbed the loss of Toews without skipping a beat. Can Dubas say the same if he lost Holl? Nope thats why he risked losing Kerfoot or McCann to protect Holl instead.

Of course he did. Took him a while to fix it after Lou ruined it.
