The problem is that Vancouver shouldn’t be taking on rentals. Plus Domi is coming back in December, and you have 0 cap space to be able to fit him on the roster, especially for over 3 months. This trade probably works a lot better if Domi isn’t involved.

The return for Gavrikov is reasonable in a normal circumstance but they have 3 young promising Russian players who should be making the move to Columbus within the next couple years. They need him in a mentorship role to help them get used to a new country, city and league. I don't think Gavrikov will be moved
