The Flames have loved everything about Lucic since they acquired him.

They won't trade him and I honestly don't think they'll even buy him out. Seems crazy because it wasn't long ago that he looked like he would never make it through his 7 yr deal

There was 0 chance Caufield fall to 15…. The top 10 prospects in this draft are pretty close. It only takes a couple of teams to prefer one player to Eklund starting at 5 for him to be available at 9.

Caufield was the most skilled player in the draft as well (or close to Hughes). And Eklund is 5’9 so not tall either
