I don't know if KK is good enough to entice Buffalo. They will need a better centerman in return in my opinion

    MTL
    2021 3rd round pick (OTT)
    2022 7th round pick (SJS)
    OTT
    Byron, Paul
    2021 2nd round pick (MTL)

That's only 11 spots, from 74 to 63. it's going to cost more than that

If Kotkaniemi is apart of deal, it would probably be a respectable, but it realistically, I have no interest in MTL's first in 2021 that's 31st. I also think if Buffalo gets a second first, for a team picking later, i'd rather have 2022 and 2023, and both would probably be conditional on Eichel's health

I'd say an offer would look like Jesperi+Primeau, and a roster player like a Lekkhonen or prospect + a conditional 2022 and 2023 first if Eichel plays x amount of games. I think an Eichel deal will probably have conditions for draft picks, and it's just an offer, Buffalo would likely decline

The only thing is, I think there is a zero chance Buffalo will trade Eichel in the division, and I don't think MTL wants to part with Jesperi

It will take an egregious overpay to get Buffalo to deal him within the division

KK as the most potential of all centers that the habs could give (no way they trade Suzuki)

KK is in the deal. Also you have 2021 and 2022 1rst (they could trade trhe 2023 instead of the 2021, but i doubt berg will do that)

And also : Eichel wants to leaves, at this point Sabres has no choice but to take where he wants to go and the habs just went to the finals, so it's interesting for him

(also says that they're big names on the habs but we just learn rn that it's a possibility that Price removes his NTC ... WTF)

How many of these threads do you have going? Byron isn't going to Ottawa, and thinking this is a viable trade nullifies your entire ACGM because it puts you over the cap.

The Sabres don't have to trade him to where he wants....it's not a Taylor Hall situation where he had a full no move clause, if that was the case, Eichel would probably want a trade to an East Coast team, preferably Boston, or the NY Rangers. There are realistically only a single handful of teams that have the assets+cap space to move for him, and right now if it's not Anaheim or LA, then the Sabres probably keep him if they can't find a taker out west AND IF they can't stomach trading him to the NY Rangers and IF they want him.

I was just saying in terms of the original deal....., I think any additional assets in the form of draft currency like future firsts will probably be conditional on his health. If Eichel is healthy, he is a Hart Trophy calliber center, and is absolutely worth a first in 2023 with 2022

But as I said, there is zero chance Buffalo trades him within the divison

The habs have the assets and the cap space (even more if they really let price go)

I think that eventually they will need to trade him, and i will be surprised if Anaheim of L.A trade futures from him, they're in a rebuilding

I don't know if Buffalo will cares if they'Re in the same division, but the hockey facts i think it's a fair deal

I don't think LA is that interested, especially at paying the cost. I think Anaheim is more interested because yes they are rebuilding, but they are also looking for a future franchise player and if he's healthy, that's Eichel, and he is still young enough.....a dream scenario would be them re-signing Getzlaf for another year with Eichel. Getzlaf would be great for their room. The problem with Aanaheim is I don't think they want to move Zegras, but they do have the third pick.

There really isn't another team that makes sense aside from Minnesota, and Minny is in a cap crunch

And the habs, not a whole lot of teams can trade for Eichel because of the flat cap

Why would OTT eat 6.8M over 2 years in order to jump 70 spots?

The cost to dump 6M is a 1st, you'd be lucky to get away with it only costing 2nd+3rd
