What does makar get now

Description
With heiskanen just getting 8x8.45 and chabot at 8x8, where does makar land? Will he take a bit less to win? Does he look at a bridge? This is my guess as to where he lands. Yeah 10 million is a lot, but the market has shaped this way. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he took 9.5 million.

Depends on the term, either look at McAvoy/Werenski or look at Chabot. Those were always the bases

6x9? Interesting, think he wants back to Calgary that quickly? I would think they go for max term. Sakic isnt Dubas, cant see him signing a non-bridge for less than 7 years

It’ll either be max term at or around 9.5 million, or it’ll be a 2-3 year bridge at 7.5-8.5 million IMO.

I agree Sakic isn’t the GM to walk him to FA, and makar seems like the kind of guy who will take less to win.

Idk about the whole " take less to win" thing. Tkachuk did that and now everyone is saying he did it to force his way out asap.

Werenski did it too and Barzal. But I guess they all think it’s a Trouba situation which it isn’t necessarily
