Arizona swaps a 5th round pick for a second next year to improve draft capital. Pick up a Kokkonen a former 3rd round pick who has done well in Liiga and AHL at a young age to improve farm system. Plus they get a middle 6 forward in Kerfoot to remain somewhat competitive and can also move later for more assets. Kerfoot is also only paid 5 million of the 7 million he owed which would be appealing for a poor team like arizona

Leafs try and get undervauled players to recoup assets for rielly. Brink is 5'8" forward that is pretty good (So usually undervalued by GMs). Frost had season ending shoulder surgery and missed most of last season. Ghost is a contract theyre trying to dump but i think is undervalued and would work well in Toronto system. Plus a first all for Morgan rielly who will be too expensive to keep and Engvall.

Philly gets out of a contract they already waived and tried to dump along with 2 prospects and a pick in exchange for a Top pair D man. The reason the price is high is Rielly would sign an extension as the trade happens, plus Philly is getting rid of a bad contract. Engvall is a pretty good 3rd or 4th line player for cheap.

As I understand it, the Leafs have been trying to deal with the Coyotes something like Dvorak, Garland and Keumper for Kerfoot, Mikheyev and futures, but there's a lot that hinges on Seattle, especially considering Seattle would likely be picking Keumper from Arizona if this deal doesn't happen. If Toronto makes a deal with Seattle after such a trade, it would cost Dermott plus plus and those are so high-level pluses. Also, get Gotisbehere out of here!

Kerfoot is an interesting trade piece, as if I recall correctly if he is traded, his new team only owes him 750k as the Leafs have paid most of his contract
