I hear ya, but I would not protect Demelo over Stanley. I feel like Demelo is more attractive to Seattle because they can get something for him at the trade deadline if they want. I also think Leddy is an upgrade from Demelo. I hope the Jets do not attach a high draft pick just to keep him, they did that once with Vegas and that pick was Suzuki.

You're right. If DeMelo is available, Seattle will consider taking him. If Stanley is available, Seattle is unlikely to consider him.

Tbh I haven't much of Stanley's game and mostly base on stats but is he ever going to be a top4 D?

I do think he could be, Demelo is a 5-6 guy all day every day. He is not going to get better than that at his age. Stanley is also 6'7" and physical, something the Jets have lacked since Byfuglien left.

DeMelo is a top 4 defenceman and is the only player on the team who can get Morrissey to not be horrible. Stanley is an average at best 3rd pairing guy
