Hawks really need to make up their mind as to what they're doing. I don't hate this move for them, but this time last year they were talking about tearing it down. Seems like they've reversed course and taken the Pittsburgh mantra of trying to stay competitive as long as they have Toews and Kane

I know we don’t like to admit it, but Seth Jones has been declining for a couple of years now. When he was on a pair with werenski this season he was bringing his partner down as evidence by the fact that Zach did better without him while Seth did worse without Zach. I wouldn’t even consider a one for one swap of Dach and Jones. Much less adding anything to that from Chicago’s POV.

Jones is 26, he is not declining lol. He’s played on a not great team with injury problems the last two years. Anyone who watches him play knows he is still a top-20 dman in the league, and the Hawks could justify trading Dach for him, OR the 1st and some pieces, but CBJ want a center so if they won’t trade Dach he’s probably going to go to Dallas for Borque+.
