This is a realistic eichel trade. 3rd overall, an unprotected first, a former first, and a qualty NHLer. If you think we are getting much more than this, you're going to be very disappointed.

And that would be a no brainer trade for Reinhart.

Yeah, I think it’s unlikely any of the other 3 are there. But players drop all the time. At 8 I expect Eklund Berniers and Power to be gone. Hughes, edmidson, Johnson, Mctavish, Clarke, Guenther, Wallestdt are all possibilities to be there or not of differing values. Honestly my preference would be to take Eklund and Berniers, and then the best D man available at 8, but doubt that would happen.

A middle six passed his prime center with term, 3rd overall an underperforming player in Steel and another 1st? That's worse than the ROR trade. ANY trade involving Eichel will require a teams 1st or 2nd best prospect. That's a fact.

Reinhart's deal is okay, but he is a proven 20+ goal scorer who has finally been given the chance at center and was 11th in scoring last year. I'd rather a more proven player.
