Landeskog doesn't make sense to me, you would think Dubas would be looking for someone for 1-2 years to let our younger promising prospects develop - a signing this rich (and probably long) just means we won't be able to bridge any of the younger contracts unless we sell one of the big 4 or sell Reilly this year.

We should have tons of bottom 6 contribution after this year, good LW depth, RW depth is great, and solid D in the pipeline.

I think this only really makes sense if you think that Sandin and Liljegren are ready to take over (and they replace the 7 million Reilly and Holl currently make). Or perhaps if you're ready to roll the dice on the younger C's like Hallander, Abramov, SDA, and Semyonov to replace Kerfoot's 3.5.

Personally, I would've targeted Driedger for a one year, 3.5 million deal for a starter battle, signed a 3C for 3.5 (as below), and try to keep Kerfoot.
