That doesn't acquire Dunn and Tarasenko, Good luck outbidding most teams for Dougie Hamilton's service. And Dunn gets way more $$.

The issue with MTL is that they probably got to go 10 on Dougie. Players don't want to play in Montreal.

i dont believe that is true anymore. it used to be. if anything, the only canadian team they will want to play for is mtl.

Dougie in MTL might be as entertaining as Toronto

performance and history. the effect of perry and vets success like staal. furthermore, which canadian team, outside of MAYBE toronto, is a big landing spot for FA's? it used to be vancouver but they're trash now. toronto can't win a round and marleau, thornton, simmonds etc etc are witness to that.

i agree. i think toronto will go after him, but for dougie there is a very clear number 1 spot on the right hand there. petry is not a number 1.

Not true anymore… Montreal used to be a one man boring team (Price) … now they’re about to be a five tool team… not saying Hamilton will sign but I think Jones wouldn’t be opposed to play in Montreal

No stars or the top of the class go to Montreal. Perry is the only vet to go to Montreal after Toronto turned him down (it has been described as him begging Toronto to sign him). Staal just wanted out of Buffalo and apparently still took convincing because he did not want to come to Canada. Even the one guy Montreal has got in Toffoli (which still is not a big name), they got because of the incompetence of Jim Benning not being able to make cap and multitask. He has said he wanted to stay in Vancouver. Not one big name free agent has even been linked to Montreal.

Not until today… Weber being out for at least a year (probably until he calls it quit) makes Jones the perfect replacement to Captain Shea… I’ll take him at 8x7 every day of the week…

i would love vince dunn much. but it is true that he will ask for more money. $ 3.5m per year, minimum. tarasenko has played just 35 games in 2 years. it remains to be seen whether it has lost speed. a $ 7.5m bet that I personally wouldn't take

I imagine it takes more than that. Also, have you heard the rumor package Jackets are asking for?

Again, the guy is one year away from free agency and has shown zero interest in any Canadian team. Why would he want to come to Montreal?

Yeah that Dach-Mitchell-Boqvist-Debrincat is never gonna happen… they’ll surely ask less in a couple of weeks and I think he’s a pretty good friend of Weber so I’m sure he could tell Jones it’s a beautiful and exciting place to play hockey and like i told you before this habs team is now exciting and promising with all the young guns coming up… Being Seth Jones o wouldn’t be opposed to come play to Montreal the youngest Stanley Cup finalist since the 2007-2008 Pittsburgh Penguins who finish with 3 cups in the next 10 years

Why? Couple of people told me that… Did he really asked to stay in USA? Is there an article or something? If he really said that he’s a first class moron

exactly. he is a spoiled child. he does what he wants and I have the impression that he is not a team player. I could be wrong but for the spoiled child, I am not wrong. but he's a very good hockey player.

i dont disagree. but like i said, this past run has changed things. mtl has a promising youth core with a grizzled and hungry vet core. they have cap space and they have prospects/picks to add and get better. things are changing

i think its political. you should check his mom's twitter and that should answer all your questions. i mean he has a right to his views and im fine with that, but i think he wont come to canada because of those views.

Zero reports of any players being interested in Montreal. The one vague thing I read, which makes more sense now was about Savard. It's just been about resigning their own guys.
